Michael Athanason is a Managing Director in eVal’s Valuation services practice in New York. Prior to joining eVal, he was US National Leader of the Alternative Investments Valuation practice at both KPMG and BRG. He was Leader of Duff & Phelps’s Portfolio Valuation Practice from its inception in 2005 and built that practice to its present size. Michael has over 25 years of valuation and corporate advisory experience and focuses on valuation advisory and value management of alternative asset portfolios and has helped multiple clients prepare for SEC presence exams. Since 2004, he has been continuously engaged by private equity, private debt, infrastructure and real estate investors to provide periodic fair market valuations for financial reporting and acquisition/divestiture projects.
Michael graduated from Florida Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering and received his MBA from Georgetown University.
Federico Jost is a Senior Advisor to eVal Valuation Services.., Federico worked in the valuation advisory team at BRG, a Corporate Finance Advisor in New York. Prior to this, he oversaw and led the private equity valuation activities for Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) from 2012 until 2017, focusing on private equity and infrastructure direct investments, co-investments, primary funds, and secondary funds. Before that, he served as a senior manager at KPMG’s Economic and Valuation Services group, serving clients on the Alternative Investments Valuation practice. Mr. Jost has served global private equity, infrastructure, pension, and sovereign funds in establishing guidelines, policies and procedures, supporting transactions, fund raising, monitoring and reporting activities as well as investment activities.
Mr. Jost holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from “Universidad Metropolitana” in Caracas, Venezuela.
Tony McNulty is a Senior Advisor in eVal’s Valuation services practice in New York.
Before joining eVal, he was the Senior Vice President of Portfolio Management at General Atlantic. With over 20 years of experience in private equity operations, he held a broad management position including valuation, data collection / management / analysis, LP reporting, regulatory support, strategic planning and operational improvements. His role was instrumental as the firm expanded from approximately 30 portfolio companies (~$2 billion capital) to upwards of 110 portfolio companies (~$30 billion capital)
Tony graduated from Colgate University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and received his MBA Finance from the Stern School of Business at NYU.
